Here you go, follow this guide http://world-of-digital.com/forums/f84/dreambox-600pvr-flashing-startup-guide-16299.html if you like or do the following: -

1. Download latest Dreamup.
2. Connect serial cable to pc.
3. Connect crossover nic cable.
4. Set nic card to ip = 192.168.0.1, subnet 255.255.255.0, gateway 192.168.0.1 leave dns blank.
5. Virgin dbox should be set to dhcp, check that it is in network settings.
6. Fire up Dreamup. Re-boot dreambox when is says connected & away you go.

This method works with a nfi image.

Or use this guide : -

To flash DM600Pvr using Webinterface People with 7020 or 7025 will be familiar with this procedure i have obtained this information of another site i have tried this method on couple of images it does work ****HOWEVER WITH ALL SOFTWARE THINGS CAN GO WRONG ONLY TRY THIS IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING****

The 7020 uses the same bootloader as your 600.
But there is a difference; the 600 has no buttons, to signal the bootloader to accept new firmware.

That's why we implemented this 'software update' thing in the menu, to signal the bootloader through some other means.

Now, if you really can't use dreamup (because you don't have a windows PC for instance), you could try the following:
login with telnet
mount /boot -o remount,rw
rm /boot/*
reboot

Now you've got a box which won't boot anymore, so the bootloader will accept new firmware.
Only do this if you have a way to tell which IP your box got, after you reboot.
Because you won't be able to use your box again, untill you flashed an nfi, using the webinterface of the bootloader.

Read through this thread on how to find your ip http://world-of-digital.com/forums/f193/there-any-easy-way-find-box-20349.html

Yes, most people find that evocam works for them. For me, newcam works. Evocam didn't.

As the maestro (Sicilian ;p) suggested, enable a cam, reboot and leave the channel switched on for about 5-10 min. Things will get better from there :).

EDIT : Darn ! Late again ! Today's just not my day !
