i borrowed my brothers hdd from his 360 the otherday to use it for a dash update and now everytime he turns on his 360 it asks him to apply the update, he said it says something about security. i am waiting to hear from him so i can post exactly what it says.
he doesnt want to install the update as he has a flashed 360 and doesnt want it to die on him, is there anyway of getting rid of the udpate file from the hdd or is there a way of finding out if the 360 will be ok if he does update it?
all help welcome
thanks

Just apply the update it wont do any harm. If he is on LIVE then it will be a new update that is going on on LIVE nothing to do with what you have done by changing the HDs over.

At a guess you may have played a game that has put a update on it thats all or your console has meaning that the update has gone on the hD. It wont fook the 360 mate there is nothing that can happen like that the only thing that could happen is if you was connected to live and then a update came that way and then you may have got banned off live but its such a small risk within that respect.
Just do it and everything should be ok as long as you dont power the 360 down while the update is going on.
