Can someone please point me towards the best hard drive for my sky+ box. It has the standard 40 gig I think. How large a drive can it handle and what preperations do the drives need.
Thanks in advance

Any standard 3.5" hdd can replace the original 40gb one. I think it can take upto 250gb, but am not entirely sure of the top limit.
I've seen many with 160gb... and that should give you about 60-80 hrs recording time I think.
Just open up the box, replace the hdd with the new 3.5" hdd and reconnect everything the way you found it (the ide cable & the power cable). I think you'll need to format (prep) the hdd once you start up Sky+ using the settings.

Western digital are highly recommended.

The BT vision boxes use a Western cavalier 160gb and the hold 80 hrs worth of recordings.
