found this on another place , not my work all credits to the great MrDude

Ftp the three files to the dreambox into usr/bin/ and chmod them to 755

telnet into the dreambox and enter the following commands:

cd /usr/bin/
build-nfi-image.sh /media/hdd


The new image will now be on the dreambox hard drive. ie in folder media/hdd.

Works very nicely writing to a network share if you don't have a hard drive

Here's another fantastic backup plugin by the great MrDude :)

This one will apear in the flexmenu by pressing yellow button once installed and give you a .nfi backup.

Thanks to the guys at ************* for the needed files....

How to:

Ftp the included files to the dreambox root dir.

Chmod all the files in usr/bin to 755
Chmod /usr/lib/tuxbox/plugins/flexmenu.so to 755
Chmod /usr/lib/tuxbox/plugins/flexmenu.cfg to 644
Chmod /etc/tuxbox/config/shellexec.conf to 775


Once done - press yellow on the dreambox remote control to bring up the plugin menu.
Select 'Backup Your Dreambox'.

The backup process will take a little while - once complete your new image backup will
be created in the /media/hdd folder.

Is it you tried the backup file for restoring??
Some people coplaning that the backup file will show error while try to flash with it !
