hi all
i am having some problems setting the timer on my boiler to come on at the desired time. i have no problem setting it to the time of the day but it seems to be working very slow. eg if it set to come on at 7am it comes on around 4-5 hours later-ie 11am
all help appreciated

is it a mechanical timer or a digital one?
if its an old mechanical timer the internal motor may be faulty, so your best to replace the whole timer
can your post the model number of the timer or if its built-in to the boiler post the boilers make and model

i would suspect this is a machanical timer [round silver thing?]
you shouldn't really use WD40 on electrical stuff but if you have nothing else [or get a can of switch cleaner/lub from maplin - esol stuff] give it a spray.
common problem.
