300ee died again after 2 days 257ee still going strong

Hi reafer01 m8
Yes it seems that there is a few peeps having such issues with the 300ee software, myself as of yet have had no such problems with it and i have put it on a few friends boxes.
Personaly i dont think its anything to do with the CC`s and is just a software glitch.
There is a new 400 out which works fine and stops the scrambled issue on the originals ect but nothing for the clones as of yet m8.
My personal opinion would be to put the old software on it, as it always seems that the big traders want you to buy the new box and throw your old one in the bin, or in some cases they are offering you money off for your old box for the new one.
Which to me that means they are not as usless as you might think, as the main traders wont offer you a deal like that unless there is something in it for them, beleave me m8 as i`ve been into this hobby for years and you can read it all in the lines, and lets be honest they only interested in the cash nothing else.
Its an expensive hobby at times m8 lol but hay when in doubt m8 do what is best and in this case i would put on the 257 as its not that hard to put in the missing letter or number untill there is a propper fix.
I`m still looking into it all but the old jtag got broke by my big foot the other day so need to get another one b4 i can do any more testing m8.
Will post more when i know more.

Well i have to say m8 a few boxes still on but from what i`ve heard and noticed there is a timebom in the 300 software for the clones and its best to take it out or off the clone if on it.
But do not un-plug it or switch it off, leave on standby and then prog it back to 257 and all will be ok.

Hi jw_2000_uk & reafer01
Sorry guys i have had severe net issues the last few weeks so havent had much net time.
Ok i just have a quick question to ask you both in regards to the problem of flashing the boxes.
Ok when yous both say it crashes near the end of what is the final step, the flah end part, does the box go all the way to the end ? in this i mean the bottom bar indecator go all the way across from the left to the right, or does the flash only go say part of the way ?
Reason i say this is that yous both have the main wires connected as otherwise the jtag would`nt even connect in the skyMax2 proggy.
One of the main isses that gives this is the little main chip, as showen in the pic here ....

http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/2008/c40chiply9.jpg

Make sure that you have the VCC wire soldered propper to the little C40 chip as i have found myself that it can time out and give the error if its not got a propper connection, and will go to like 70% and give the error.
Be very carefull doing this chip as its very delecate and if u hold say a soldering iron on it two long it will pop.
Also try just un-pluging the box and then going through the same process again, as some times it can take up to three goes before it will finaly flash.
