hi all,still havin a load of problems with dbox2,it only picks up itv and bbc ,menus slow and freezing ,public keys wont update still say zero wont force,i know im a bit new to all this but think i might have bought a dud please help any suggestions

what version of sporster and did it come with this image on from germany
on a working channel press red then blue button and post the ber,snr and sig readings approx will do.

It could be an old image and the emu is out of date and doesn't autoupdate. It might not be a UK modified image either.

Try flashing one of the newer images.

hi eveyone sorry for the delay in replying thanks to all who responded not sure what sportser image it is because someone is trying to fix it for me but after the last phone call it does not look good, he has cloned the image from his working box and put it in mine but still wont do anything other than pick ur itv and bbc do you think i should bin it and try for another one thanks again for the help just about pulling my hair out

try going for an up to date one try pacino 1 or pacino 2.1

before binning it try unplugging the modem inside the box and also unplug the card readers as you will probably never use these things, and this helps the box to run a lot smoother

I had the same problem with a number of images.
Here's the best solution I came up with:

1) Switch to EVOCAMD
2) Switch off the automatic sections.d scan
3) Switch off fast scanning, and use a generic bruteforce scan to ensure you receive all the defined transponders etc.

if it only happens at your house it could be the signal ,where the cable comes into your house ,inside the white box there is a sort of amplifier that cuts the signal down ,you can rmove that and connect straight to the cable for a much stronger signal....try it
