I am no expert with the 4001, but I believe it is very similar to the 1000 series box.
The cure for this problem on a 1000 is to take out the simm board and give the contacts a good clean, then refit the simm board and push it back slightly from the top to ensure a good connection as you boot up the box.

I am sure someone here will confirm this to be the case for the 4001.

ERROR CODE 1014
There is a problem with your set top box
The DHT has failed to retrieve channel map

Dont know what it means in real terms, maybe a signal/tuner problem. Ill have to let someone else answer that one.

TBC is going to kill me when he sees this but i hope he gets the joke ;)
:
if you have connected the box to feed and the netid remains ***** then the box has a fault. the next part of the stuck in tune guide will be out this coming week. combined with the first part will cure any 4001 stuck in tune that doesn't have the mute error fault on it. As well as any stuck on PAT/NIT/TUNE have low db's or only fast boot or all of them lol.

regards twobeercans

ps for your err2 problem the simm socket probably need cleaning with ipa fluid from maplins and a good sturdy paint brush.

In future it would be better for you to start your own thread, just so we can avoid confusion in the thread. Im sure a kind moderator will move this into its own thread.

Alos it would be better to provide us with as much info as possible.
Have you tried applying some pressure to the simm board in order to get a better contact as the box boots up?
We dont even know what type of box do you have?
