Im currently with bulldog, and it has to be the worst for playing games online. It d/c's reguallry, has quite a bit of packetless & has quite bad pings, UK servs = 30ms+! Anybody know of a good ISP with low pings to UK and european servers?
Thanks!

I've been with both Nildram and Zen in the past (ADSL).
Both of which have excellent connections for gaming into Europe.

TW seems to be preety good in my eyes never had any problems with them and a few of my m8s who play online games are all on tw and say its the best they have used for gaming

With NTL on game servers i get the best ping, i have had 4 ping - 8 ping however usually have 12 ping as a average in my area.

Ones you should look out for are ones where deals that are too good to be true...
normaly because loads sign up to there services there network gets a bashing and can result insome terrible pings.
Bulldog -- Clasic eg came on the scene and were excelent value.. what happend .. terribel ping and disconnected quiet frequently ...
If your a serious gamer i recomend cable for some of the best pings...
but also a note Optomise your game connections
Remember all games are set for a default speed (tends to be dialup) but your on broadband and you can send far bigger packets of data to the server so check out your game and optomise it
EG
Day of defeat source .. out of the box is configed for dial up
Default Settings (Aprox carnt remember the true values)
rate 10000
cl_updaterate 33
cl_cmdrate 33
Optomised Settings for 4mb broadband and up
rate 25000
cl_updaterate 100
cl_cmdrate 100
and i get a lot better hits rate and my ping floats form 10 to 40 depends what server i play on..
hope that helps alittle
