Hi, I'm trying to get the BK and IRD from a Telepest card using Nagra Edit 4.1

This is what it says.......

Opening of COM1 was successful
ATR String: 3F FF 95 00 FF 91 81 71 A0 47 00 44 4E 41 53 50
30 31 31 20 52 65 76 42 30 44 3C
ROM Revision: 011
EEPROM Revision: RevB0D
SetIFS failed
Using BD3 Key: 4E 69 70 50 45 72 20 49 73 20 61 20 62 75 54 74
Reading ROM11 failed
Closing of COM1 was successful

What does this mean?

Am I right in thinking that the card is locked and I need to buy an Unlooper?

I've got a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 4000 DVB.

Is there another way to get the BK without buying an Unlooper?

TIA

Thanks, I sent the card off to somebody that does cards and he emailed me back...........

"Hi m8 open your card up but the ird is all zeros and bk is false. It
looks like if the card had been switched off."

So does that mean that the card is *ucked and I have to try and get the BK from the box itself?

I have a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 4000 DVB

TIA

The card itself isn't 'donald ducked' - you can reuse it but you'll have to get you BK off the box itself (think a chip needs lifting/reading on these boxes)

Thanks for your reply Bammy.

I found a tutorial that says I need to remove a couple of chips and put them in an 'Elvis' programmer.

Any idea where I could buy one of those or an eqvivalent?

Or somebody I could post the chips to for the programming?
