I am currently trying to dial into a remote machine which is on a digital phone exchange (PBX). Can someone advise me as to what modem I would need to purchase for that machine so that I can dial in via phone line?

Cheers

Si

you need a standard 56k dial up modem

A standard 56k dial up modem (analogue) isn't suitable as it is well documented that they can be fried when using them on digital lines (due to higher currents on digital lines).

What i wanted to know was do i need an ADSL or an ISDN modem for example.
