I have tried to use wireless connection to my router but when i set it all up Internet Ecplorer won't connect to web, the windows diagnostic thing say it's something to with firewall i am using norton internet security but tried this on other PC and it work fine.

well it ould be a number of things
firstly i would try disabling norton firewall then trying
again
then if it works the ip of the network etc needs to be allowed through it.

else it could be that the pc in question is not set to get auto ip from the router.

you really need to give us a bit more info.:wink:

don't know if you have got it working yet, or if in fact it's anything to do with the problem your having but if your with N*L through your cable box it could be your mac address is not setup for the router if so you can either go through the setup process or change the mac address of the router to that of your pc.

Again this may not be your problem but I thought I'd throw it out just incase!

tools > options > connections > lan settings and make sure automatically detect settings is ticked

try 2 ping the connection. if you dont no the i.p ping all

try to disable norton firewall and reboot yr computer.check yr wireless setting if let me know if it is static or dynamic IP?????
