Right, ive just got a SB5100i from my work as we have just got rid of two of our TW Business lines.

Can the firmware be hacked/changed so that i can use it at home instead/with my webstar modem?

Yes it can but it will require a blackcat cable and software to modify it with the sigma firmware. The blackcat cable and software (legit) can either be found at h**p://To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. Yeh i seen on on eBay for £9 but i was wondering what they do about the software :/ would it be wise to buy from tcniso direct or will the eBay one be fine?

The one on ebay is fine ,,it all depends on yourself as the one from tcniso will allow you future upgrades to the modem firmware,,but for now the one from ebay will do the trick ,,plus it`s a lot cheaper than tcniso.

Thanks again for your quick reply - im going to try and source one of these now. The one on eBay seems to be from a dodgy looking seller so i may have to try and source one from else where

There are other options like tcniso (as you allready know ) theoryshare.com and tmc ,, or you could just make one yourself and download the software from the net.
