all depends on prefernce m8. for a newbie to sat i'd recommend a technomate 1500ci as it's by far the easiest box to use,by far the most supported with most patches and has a built in emu,cam slot aswell as a multicrypt reader. the only thing that lets it down is it's not network enabled. if u are more technical minded and want a network enabled box then go for any dreambox like the 500s,7020s or the 7025s. the 7025s is currently the best as it's pvr ready with twin tuners(so u can record something whilst watching another channel, with a compatible lnb or course)

Easiest one to use is the Technomate 1000 Series.

If you get a Dreambox then more knowledge is needed towards networks etc...

for basic one consider Technomate TM-1500 around ?105
Technomate TMS-1500 CI+
CI + Card Reader + 5000 Channels + SPDIF Digital Audio + USALS/DiSEqC 1.2 + Auto Navigation + TV OUT
for more advanced go for Technomate TM-9100 Linux around ?250
running on Enigma + PVR Ready + 9in1 Memory Card Reader + Ethernet Communication Port + Unlimited Channel Memory + 2x Smart Card Readers + 1x Common Interface (CI)
