saw this around just a few possibities to try
would check all the wires
you might have managed to pop the chip The only way to tell is by replacing it 74HC244 from Maplins
reply was loose connection somewhere probably worked ok after checking
try another lead to see if thats your problem
you could try to change your port settings or try anothere computer

No problem, nothing to worry about, thought you might be able to clarify a few things for me.

thanks for trying though, Appreciated

:-)

I'm sure this is not a unique error, someone out there must know what i am doing wrong or point me in the right direction at least?

Please help!!!

as your using a universal jtag solder as follows
RED = VCC 1 or 2
YELLOW = GND 4,6 or 8
BROWN/ORANGE = TDI 3
BLUE = TMS 5
BLACK = TCK 7
GREEN = TDO 9
WHITE = nTRST spare(just tape up)
the numbers indicate the pin numbers

I have done this but i will resolder all the points once again in the morning in case there is a bad connection somewhere.

Thanks!
