hi all i'm looking to buy a hdtv at least 42" for less than 1500 - can anyone recommend one?

You currently have 0 posts. is the screen I have though you can get it in silver finish at just under ?1000. Am well impressed with mine. The TV is an 'Atec' and has an LG / Phillips panel and looks truly stunning when I run the Xbox 360 in Hi-Definintion mode. Tons of connectors on it too, supports just about everything.

I bought the panasonic th42px600 with cabinet and with 5 years panasonic guarantee for ?1850 from a store in romford essex, excellent pciture and sound and has won many awards, if i was you, i'd jus put in a little extra and go for 1 of dese mean machines, trus me u wont be disapointted.

Be careful guys, the Panasonic 5 year guarantee ended on Dec 24th!

If you want a 5 year guarantee now best bet is John Lewis and try to get them to price match!

Im told by a tv repair man to stay well clear of toshiba sets as the parts are crap!

If you are going to use the screen predominantly for movie / tv viewing I would recommend the Panasonic TH42PX60, I got one from Currys for ?899, AFAIK it uses the same panel as the costlier TH42PX600...
