i would like to connect my ps2 via component to a vga projector which has only a pc input. does anyone know of a lead or adapter to convert the signal with negligable loss of picture quality?
thanx in advance for any pointers.

This should work:
Gameplay ? PlayStation 2 ? Logic 3 VGA Box + - FREE UK Delivery (http://shop.gameplay.co.uk/webstore/productpage.asp?productcode=PT1749&refid=froogle)

Actually allows you to hook up one VGA (e.g. your PC) and upto 4 composite to one VGA output.

the box looks like it will do the job - thanx

i was hoping to find something that would connect to component rather than composite for enhanced graphics ....any ideas?

Sorry, didn't realise that the PS2 did component (thats me upgrading from composite after xmas then :D).

Anyway back to the point. This will get you component (male) to VGA: eBay.co.uk: New 1.8M VGA TO Component Video 3 RCA Cable SVGA *UK* (item 320059777689 end time 18-Dec-06 13:17:05 GMT) (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-1-8M-VGA-TO-Component-Video-3-RCA-Cable-SVGA-UK_W0QQitemZ320059777689QQihZ011QQcategoryZ41999QQ ssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)
you'll likely need one of these (same seller) to allow you to connect male to male RCA cables: eBay.co.uk: NEW Gold 3-RCA Component Video Coupler Adapter HDTV UK (item 320058501326 end time 15-Dec-06 20:18:25 GMT) (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-Gold-3-RCA-Component-Video-Coupler-Adapter-HDTV-UK_W0QQitemZ320058501326QQihZ011QQcategoryZ96942QQ tcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem)

[edit] Or you could use this: Xploder Online | Playstation 2 | Shop | Xploder VGA Adaptor for PS2 (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. with a standard VGA cable.

thanx for your help. just had a browse at the links. my last problem is that the projector input only accepts vga, so the analogue component signal needs to be changed to digital vga. i think i may need a convertor which may be costly and could degrade the signal.
