I have 3 downlights in bathroom on common transformer. Sometimes they take quite a while to turn on (after having just switched them off). Can I fix this by fitting a transformer to each light??

possibly. you could just change the one you have for a better rated one.
how old are they?

couple of things first before i go on.

1st.....you're not allowed to change/modify under the P regs.
as the area has water & is specifically listed in the regs act.
you must employ a suitably certificated electrician.

also ..if it is latterly found out you carried the work out yourself, it will invalidate your house insurance should you require to claim for damage in that area.

that bit over.

if you just use one bulb, does this improve things?

i am very worried about this time lag, if the transformer IS being overloaded in this way i'd not use it at all. it must be getting pretty hot for the laminates to lose their magnectic field.
this error you have puzzles me.

electrically, there is no way this should happen with a low voltage sustem. something serious in wrong.

Units were originally installed by electrician (qualified), who has since looked at problem and has fixed it.
