    Cool hole in the wall

    hi
    wondered if anyone can help , i have a surfaceelectrical socket that has came away from the wall , leaving a large hole in the wall behind it , i tried filling with some propriatry filler . too no avail , it all just came back of the wall a week later . My query is how to fill the hole , in a way that i can re fix the socket for good

    no more nails a piece of wood to the wall this will let you you fix the switch after the wall is filled. if the wall is plasterd that is quite simple.Buy a bag of one coat plaster. B&Q. Make sure that the surface is damp so that the plaster can get a bond if you dont it will just fall off. leave the no more nails to dry for a day . and quick. good luck

    yes the wall is plaster , but do you think filling the hole with plaster will hold the socket.

    thats why you no more nails the wood in.gives you something to screw into,drill a couple of hole for the screws, and don't use to long screws or they will rip the wood from the wall.
