Something "phishy" about this.
Please be careful.I got an email from"The Tax Man" this morning saying I was due a refund.I opened it on my iphone so it was safe enough. This was a PHISHING email which contained a virus and had I opened it on my PC the virus could have gotten into my PC and stolen any personal details(bank card etc)from it.I know most of you wouldn't be caught out by this but there are thousands who would. In today's modern world people are forced into using pc's for shopping, banking, paying bills etc and not everyone would see through this email.I forwarded the email to hmrc's phishing email department and it was rejected by them,it says it contained "Mal/Phish-A".
This email looked 100% genuine.HMRC say they will never contact you regarding refunds by email,it will always be by post.
Make sure you have antivirus in your computer and that it is up to date.

The email I received had a British url.The funny thing was when I put the subject of the email into Google the first search was the Welsh police warning it was a scam.I was in Wales(Swansea)prior to receiving this.I only gave my email out to 1 person,in a large store I gave my details in order to get a discount card.I wonder if someone was selling on or using my details.
