This has to be seen to be believed. We've been promised jetpacks since the opening ceremony of the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, but so far, they've eluded us. But not these two. The pair ? Yves Rossy and Vince Reffet ? videod themselves soaring in jetpacks over Dubai, almost crashing into the skyscrapers and each other in the process.

There's no word on what equipment they used to film their flight, but they recorded it in 4K, which makes it look even more amazing.

Take a look.

Pretty amazing, eh?

The two jump out of a helicopter before their jetpacks kick in and take over. They then zig-zag their way over the desert, leaving vapour trails in their wake, before they reach Dubai. And that's when the fun really starts.

The pair can also be heard musing on the nature of flight as an age-old human dream. "If you have a dream, if you have an idea, even if it's crazy, try it," Rossy says. "Flying is a really old dream for humans. We are pushing the realisation of the dream one step towards the final things to be over.

"I'm not playing with death. I'm playing with life."
