Remote control drones are everywhere these days, but this one is more than a bit special. Meet the Millennium Falcon drone that, with a bit of elbow grease and know-how, you can make yourself.

Over at the RCGroups forums, Olivier_C has detailed the whole construction process of this amazing drone, including where he bought the parts, from the motors that keep this Star Wars homage afloat to the screws used to hold the thing together. The inner frame is armoured with woven carbon fiber. Unlike the ?real? Millennium Falcon, it?s not made of bits of junk.

He has even posted 1:1 schematics so that you can map out your own version of the Prophecy 335, as Olivier_C calls it. While the Millennium Falcon part is actually just a shell that goes over the top of the core drone, you have to admit it looks absolutely fantastic. The top shell is made of polystyrene to ensure it doesn?t weigh the thing down too much. You can catch a few more videos of it in action on Hidden Content , and see even more details in this Hidden Content .

Olivier_C says that his next project is a TIE Fighter, something that poses a whole new array of aerodynamic problems. Still, if that promise doesn?t make you subscribe to the guy?s youtube channel, nothing will.
