New rumor suggests both tablets will receive the Android Lollipop update on November 3rd.

Google made everyone wait quite long before it made everything about Android 5.0 ? including its full name ? official, but the company wasn?t really done with the teasing as it decided not to offer a specific date for when it would start sending out the Android Lollipop update to Nexus devices, only saying that the rollout would commence ?in the coming weeks.?

Thankfully, the usually reliable folks at Android Police have come to the rescue. According to their sources, both the Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 would be the first Nexus devices to to be updated to Android 5.0. The update will start rolling out on November 3rd, right on the day the Nexus 9 will go on sale, and it will first be received by the Wi-Fi models of both the 7-inch and 10-inch Nexus slates.

Google will then turn its attention to the Nexus 4, Nexus 7, and the cellular/LTE model of the Nexus 7, though Android Police doesn?t have any concrete info on the release window for these devices. Google isn?t exactly known for being too slow with update releases, however, so it?s likely all of its Nexus phones and tablets will see start getting the update by mid-November.

It brings a new design language Google has dubbed Material Design, one that the search giant hopes to use to offer a cohesive and beautiful user experience on various form factors.
