    Evasi0n Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 7 0 - 7 0 4 (PC/MAC Versions)

Compatible with all iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and iPad mini models running iOS 7.0 through 7.0.4

    5 minutes of your time!
A computer, running Windows (XP minimum), Mac OS X (10.6 minimum) or Linux (x86 / x86_64)
iTunes installed if you're running Windows
An iPhone, iPad or iPod running iOS 7.0 through 7.0.4 (you may check in Settings / General / About => Version)
A USB cable to connect the device to the computer

    Important! Read me!

Backup your device using iTunes (or iCloud) before using evasi0n. If something breaks, you'll always be able to recover your data.

Please disable the lock passcode of your iOS device before using evasi0n. It can cause issues.

Avoid all iOS and iTunes related tasks until evasi0n is complete. Why not just enjoy a brief break from the computer to stretch your legs?

If the process gets stuck somewhere, it's safe to restart the program, reboot the device (if necessary by holding down Power and Home until it shuts down), and rerun the process.

If you get an error on OS X 10.8 saying that evasi0n can't be opened, control-click (or right-click) the app and on the revealed context menu, choose 'Open.' On the ensuing dialogue box, choose 'Open' as well.

Warning! Over The Air updates of iOS 7 are known to create an issue and make the jailbreak fail. Some devices are then stuck on the Apple Boot Logo. Until we fix that, please restore your device to 7.0.4. with iTunes first.

Warning! Many Cydia tweaks are not yet compatible with iOS 7. Please always backup your phone before installing new tweaks from Cydia as your iPhone could be stuck in the boot process. The situation will improve as developers will update their software.

Rejoice, jailbreakers, for we bring good news. The jailbreak app store for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, Cydia, has just received an update, making the software aligned and suited for use with iOS 7. Things are finally moving.

The update to Cydia is more visual than functional, as it makes the appearance more in line with iOS 7 design elements and human interface guidelines. We get a cool transparent look and feel to the status bar, and the main tab gives way to more flat icons as we’d expect to see in any other iOS app available from the iTunes App Store. The font has also improved, giving text a neater and cleaner look in comparison to the old version. The Manage tab now contains differently colored icons for Packages, Sources and Storage, just like how the native Settings app on iPhone or iPad shows. Finally, font changes are applied throughout, and are visible on the details page for packages, the lists and all other sections, including the landing page. And in case you’re wondering, the icon remains unchanged, though we wish it went flat with this update.

Should you have a jailbroken iPhone or any other iOS device, getting the latest Cydia version 1.1.9 is pretty straightforward and easy. Just navigate to the “Changes” tab and hit refresh and update every package that’s available there, or just hit "Complete Upgrade" when prompted to.

Since the packages have been updated at their official repositories already, you’ll get the notification right away. Once Cydia updates, you might see yourself being asked for a device reboot, past which next launch of Cydia will put you in all glory of the new iOS-7 inspired design!

Saurik, the man behind Cydia, stated on Twitter that the new Cydia, sitting at version 1.1.9 wouldn’t be as awesome as it is now in its current form if help from Ryan Petrich (Rpetrich on Twitter), Thientam Bach (Surenix on Twitter) and Kyle Mathews (Kylematthews on Twitter) wasn’t provided, so big props to them.

If you aren’t already aware, the latest tool in the jailbreak scene again comes from the famous Evad3rs team, and works in pretty much the same manner how the previous tool from the same team worked. All iOS devices are supported, and as you’d expect, the jailbreak is of the untethered nature. We have full text and video guides on how to jailbreak your iOS 7 – 7.0.4 toting device, and we’ve linked them at the foot of this foot for your convenience.

Been waiting for a untethered jailbreak for ISO 7.0.4 but having done a bit of searching on the internet I think the current version is not quite up and running as quite as good as it previous ones. Apparently though the Evad3rs team have released the latest jailbreak version with out any input from Saurik, Cydia’s developer &Cydia and Mobile Substrate (the framework upon which most jailbreak tweaks are based) are updated for iOS 7, and many tweaks do not work.
Might be best waiting a bit longer so any issues are ironed out.
