is my SD card knackered
i have an 8gig SD card it worked fine up till about a week ago,i put itnto my card reader and couldnt see it anywhere on mys system ,so i tried another puter ,done the same and now its not showing ? anyway to get it back or is it a waste of time trying .i do i have a few things on it but nothimg important

Hidden Content try the program there. its the 'proper' way to format sd cards as windows does not always format them properly.

ok guys quick update and thanks for the help ,ive done what everyone suggested but ive had a good look at the card itself and noticed, that a small bit of plastic at the side of it next to the terminals has broken off,so im thinking its goosed

Best just to buy a new one mate, have you seen how cheap even large capacity ones are nowdays ?

there's a tool called 'recuva' that might be able to retrieve your data.. otherwise i would just reformat. If it's still not working, throw it away and buy a new one..
