new Vodafone Sure Signal vs Nokia Lumia...

    Hi,
Hairychad here.... First time poster and hopefully not just a lurker now I've found you!

I'm on my second Nokia Lumia and both of which will not work with the Sure Signal device Vodafone gave me for living in a weak area... It worked fine on Nokia N8 (Symbian) but does anyone else know of any similar incidents?

phones have been lumia 800 and now 920.

    thanks in advance.

Re: Vodafone Sure Signal vs Nokia Lumia...

I have just joined Vodafone & so far there signal coverage has been pants & I live in an area well built up & established & according to there reports top notch signal area....
BUT they are wrong its rubbish....As soon as my contract is up I am going back to Orange/EE or whatever they call themselves...
As for your Sure signal what have they said regarding this issue...???

Sorry I didn't follow up on this - I'm a very silly man sometimes..

I didn't chase it massively to be honest as my new house isn't too bad with the suresignal, and it was at that time I got the new phone... but no signal at all + sure signal + Lumia = NOTHING....
My previous phone N8 did work perfectly with the SureSignal, so I can't guarantee anything..

Never trust signal maps though as they often only state outside signal and not even 3G, but next time try and use the small print in your contract that lack of signal is an auto-cancel.. doesn't help this time obviously
