I mean on things like iPlayer, also can you get lovefilm on the wii? It's a wii or a ps3 and I'll be streaming quite a lot... Is the quality a massive drop?

Not brilliant the best you will ever get is standard definition as the Wii can not output anything higher. Ps3 is your best bet.
XBox 360 is pretty good, you can use windows media extender to watch movies from your pc. It also has many apps such as bbc iplayer, itv player, sky player...etc. I have tried sky go on it and the quality is really good. The iplayer app lets you stream HD shows as well as normal shows.
I use a Wii for streaming Netflix, iPlayer and Youtube. TBH the image quality isn't brilliant but since I only have an old CRT, it is good enough for me.
PS3- i have not owned one but have owned a wii. after owning it for a month i decided to sell it because of the quality. even the games a are rubbish all seem to childish. as for streaming all i used to stream was bbc iplayer n that needed to buffer every 1 minuet or so and pic quality was not great compared to xbox 360
I've used ours for iplayer and tbh the quality with the std AV cable is pretty poor - I upgraded to the component AV cable and the image was much better but still not as good as my Bravia freesat streaming iplayer. Personally I wish I'd bought the PS3. Hidden Content
I have found that your internet speed plays a larger than usual role in the quality of your streaming experience on the Wii, you really need a decent speed internet before getting anywhere
isnt that great for streaming really, xbox is a bit better but still not the sharpest it could be. stick to pc
Agreed, I tend to use my PS3 or Bravia TV over my Wii.
