Don't think I've ever seen a straight up honest to god Noir film, just films that borrow aspects of the genre. I guess Sunset Boulevard is the closest thing I've seen to a classic era Noir but thats probably more of a comedy. Loved it, by the way. I also love Neo Noir stuff like Chinatown (and it's lesser known sequel, The Two Jakes) and most Coen Brothers films. And Blade Runner, of course.
I am interested in watching some legit noir so I'll take reccomendations, particulary stuff that's on netflix.
I'm a massive Noir fan. If you haven't already I suggest you check out:
The Big Sleep
The Maltese Falcon
Double Indemnity
The Third Man
Casablanca
And for a few modern takes on Noir:
The Man Who Wasn't There
Bladerunner (not an obvious choice, but heavily noir influenced)
The Big Lebowski (again not obvious, but look at the parallels between this and The Big Sleep)
I also recommend reading any of the pulp fiction by Raymond Chandler or Dashiell Hammett.
Here are a couple of frequently forgotten gems.
Kiss Me Deadly
Force Of Evil
