Ubuntu 12.04 - Gnome interface back?

Is it possible to revert back to the gnome interface, or will I have to downgrade? Thanks

It's people like you who cause people not to join forums, you always think "oh a noob, just wanting to get posts up", but the thing is, I have an interest in technology, which is why I joined the website. Yes theres the perks such as downloads etc, but if you actually cared about the website, you'd just let me interact and post so I can get to knew a few people.

ok, lets see you interact with people in threads then and lots of stuff, lets just see how long it takes before we see you actually came here just to download stuff or use a keygen, then i will believe you, seen all this crap million times before mate, so dont dare try and turn the tables on me, as i said, i checked your posts and times at its VERY simple to notice a person that just comes on to post clock, lets hope in your case I am wrong, but I would be guessing your downloading stuff or using a keygen soon if not already !

And one more thing, you're going on at me for getting posts up, and I'm not saying that its not bad, but you're the one spamming all my threads with the same post, just saying.

Re: Ubuntu 12.04 - Gnome interface back?

    Have look here

    Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise Pangolin)

    Hidden Content
If you want the classic Gnome 2, install gnome-session-fallback in the Ubuntu Software Center. Hidden Content
If you want the newer Gnome 3, install gnome-shell instead.
    Hidden Content Hidden Content
    Log out.
    Hidden Content Hidden Content
Before you log in again, click on the Ubuntu logo near the username and then select GNOME Classic.
    Hidden Content
Then you'll be logged into the old Gnome!
    11.10 (Oneiric Ocelot)

    Hidden Content
Classic Gnome in Oneiric is called gnome-session-fallback, so if you want classic Gnome, you should install that package. If you don't know how to install software packages, read Hidden Content first. Hidden Content Hidden Content
    After it's installed, log out.
    Hidden Content
At the login screen, click on the wrench and select GNOME Classic. Then log in.
    Hidden Content
Unfortunately, gnome-fallback isn't exactly like the classic Gnome of 11.04 or earlier versions of Ubuntu, but some people may still prefer it.
    Ubuntu 11.04 (Natty Narhwal)

In 11.04 (Natty Narwhal), Ubuntu has switched the default user interface?provided your computer meets certain system requirements?to be Unity, a slightly different skin for Gnome. If your computer doesn't meet those requirements, you will automatically get the classic Gnome. For those whose computers do support Unity, you have some who love Unity and others who just want their old Gnome back.
If you would like to switch back to classic Gnome, first you need to log out.
    Hidden Content
After you select your username, click on the drop-down menu at the bottom and select Ubuntu Classic, and log back in again.
At least for Ubuntu 11.04 (this does not apply to 11.10), you can change the setting permanently using the Login Screen menu item.
    Hidden Content
Just click on the Ubuntu icon and start typing login.
    Hidden Content
Click Unlock, type in your password, and then click Authenticate.
    Hidden Content
From the dropdown menu for default session, select Ubuntu Classic

Also you should be able to log out and when there is there drop down box to change back aswell?
