    xbmc on linux

i dont know if this question should be in iptv section or here (please move to correct section)

ive installed xbmc on ubuntu via apt-get commands installed ok
but when i add repositories from fusion or another repo i can see them enabled
but when i click on them to view it will say its broken
ive forced refresh the repos nothing happens
uninstalled, reboot xbmc, then installed the repos, force refresh but it still says its broken
any ideas on this,i got a feeling its summat to do with ubuntu

ive used linux in the past ive put ubuntu 10.summat on a old hp laptop just for xbmc. ive seen that link to page yesterday when I first encountered the problem. I got a feeling that ubuntu needs updating to 14.summat. I will try updating it and try again using apt-get commands

    could you not try

XBMCbuntu? or even better Hidden Content

i'm saying open elec as you could run it from a fast(ish) pen or sd drive and have it running majorly fast.
