Boot Screen
My Pc F'ed up a few months ago and i used various pieces of software to fix it.
When Win 7 loads now i get a boot screen to select my operating system. I don't have a dual boot system and never have so the only option on the screen is Windows 7.
Anyone know how to stop it showing this as it really annoys me

Re: Boot Screen
Click Start->Run and type in msconfig
Click the boot tab at the top
You should see 2 operating systems listed
Click the extra one you want to delete and click on delete
Click Make all boot settings permanent and then click OK and Yes to confirm
Restart and the menu should be gone

Re: Boot Screen
Cheers just done that. The screen still appears but only for a nano second now which is a lot better.
I think i will just have to leave it until i can be bothered to format my hdd and finally get round to using my SSD as the boot drive.

Re: Boot Screen
Try putting this into your Run box
Code:
bcdedit /set {bootmgr} displaybootmenu No

Jackpot!! Thanks very much. Problem solved.
No idea why boot manager started displaying though. But i guess it doesn't really matter as its now gone.
