    help on funprom program please

    hello all as the title says. i have done this before but i have a new pc now without all the old com ports. is there anyway i can do it any other way around this i have a usb converter but it does not reconsie my progrrammer. is it because i am using window vista. can anyone put any light on the above matter kind regards mr young

    could be a number of things m8, usb converter aint going to work unless you configured a port to vcp, as well as that your programer may not run under vista

    tho i have had a Phoenix Programmer running through a converter with vista i did end up buying a PCI RS 232 Serial board.

    give theses drivers a go worked for me.

    well thanks mate still no luck. i have brought a new parall port. but it still does not work going out of my head. Hidden Content 5 days and still no luck. if i did manage to get the programer to work can i read the funcards so i can get my brother ird and box number of his card. as he has lost the imformation. or has he had it Hidden Content . the drivers i am installing are Hidden Content when i try to install they say parall pci port working. but have not done the ones i want. would it be better to install on a disc or not kind regards youngie

    have a look in your device manager to see if you have any deivce conflict's, if not look for ports(COM&LPT) expand that group and you should see your parall port/printer port, look at the properites and click on port settings eg. LPT1 ect and make sure you have the progamer set to same port setting.

    also boot into bios and see if you have the option of turning on/off the LPT ports.
