As the SB5100 will have a BCM3348KPB chip i would concur with Collider, go for the SB5100Mod 1.04 Beta
the other would be the 9fc00000 image, dated 18th October 2008

Thank you guys, I will give it a bash and let you know.
I have flashed the modem but it is just the original actory standard firmware that comes with the SB5100, it doesn't have a 'hack' tab or let you change the mac address. How do you change the mac address with this firmware.

Cheers for that. There is no documentation on what changes to make so I am guessing that you simply input a valid MAC address and config file and thats it or do we still need to input commands in the webshell.
Im getting closer to getting it working but there are a few things that elude me.
I have just got a the modem working with a mac from a different UBR, the online light stays on and it says that the modem is 'operational' but the power light at the top now flashes and the modem does not let me go online even though it says its operational ( a DHCP offer was sent and received OK )
Is there anything that I am doin wrong here?
Woops pressed thanks instead of quick Hidden Content
Try another mac and also try spoof your network card with a mac changer program
will give it a try but if I plug my mates modem in (SB5100i) it works straight away
Settings then for your area like frequency etc,got to Hidden Content and see if your frequency is correct
the frequency is fine and is locked, it says the modem is operational. In the logs it does say '3 - Critical' 'DHCP WARNING - non critical field invalid in response'.
But at the top it says 'registration complete'. The top light 'power' is also flashing.
your trying to force a config let the mac assign the config....i am having the same problems now as my area has just become bpi+ area and forcing is NO more always gets to the point reg complete soon as i take the config out im back on line with a reboot.....looks like your area is the same bpi+
