    Unhappy unable to format memory stick

    hi i have gone and got a sony memory stick pro duo 4gb and i am unable to format it on my psp.
    i go to setting format and it says no mem stick inserted although when i look on my pc it is showing up there.
    any ideas!!!!!!!!!!!!

    also how do i put games on it do i have to download files and folder like you do with r4 for the ds.
    please help i am going barmy trying to get this to work

    Where did you get the memory card from? Are you sure its not a clone?

    And have you put a hacked firmware on your psp as you need that on to get the games to work that you have downloaded.

    got it from town it has the officail sony kite mark and yes it is flashed with pandora

    Did you buy from offical sony store, theres loads of clones/fake cards about.

    Glad you got it sorted and i know what you mean about the fakes they are a pain and alot of people get caught out by them

    Best way to find out if your memory card is fake is by going on the "MUSIC" or "VIDEO" or "GAME" Icon press /\(Triangle) then to INFORMATION, here it should say
    MAGICGATE: SUPPORTED
    fake memory cards are MAGICGATE: "UNKNOWN"
