    Re: switch to Vista?

I switched to Vista about 6 months ago and since service pack 1 has been released I have been very happy, although the better the machine, the better the experience.

if it aint broke, dont fix it is my advise. if you are currently on xp and are happy with that, i will suggest wait for some more time. i installed vista but with all the compatibility issues with various programs, i decided to switch back - best decision i ever made!

    Re: switch to Vista?

i switched to vista about 6 months ago, it's been running fine for these 6 months. Most driver issues are fixed now and it is definitely more stable than XP IMO. I don't think I've had it crash once in the 6 months i've had it.

Then again it all depends on your specs. If you haven't got at least 1GB RAM then forget about it, you'll put a brick through your screen before you know it. You can set it up to look exactly like XP and the speed is identical afai can tell.
