    Firefox links

    Hi
When i used to use internet explorer i would normally place links to websites on my desktop by right clicking on the page and selecting create shortcut.

Is there a simple way of doing this in firefox?

    Thanks

    Re: Firefox links

You would need to have firefox as your default browser and it would work the same as in ie.

Or you can just right click > create shortcut > and itll save it to desktop but it will only open with firefox if firefox is the default browser, if default is internet explorer then itll save it and open with that.

    Re: Firefox links

clicking save page as saves the whole page to the desktop including a folder with the page details...ie you can view it offline
I just want a link as in IE.

In the right click menu on firefox there is no create shortcut.
    Default browser is firefox.
Still cant place a simple link to the desktop although the IE links i had on my desktop changed to firefox links when i made it my default browser.
Can be done manually if you right click on the desktop/new/shortcut. then copy link from address bar and paste in shortcut properties.....too much hassle for me

    Any ideas?
