    Re: CVS Edits

    @Cydine

I just started a Discussion/Feature Request Hidden Content to localize the Andere/Alle Kanaele/Neue Kanaele but it seems not an easy Task.

The Info comes from Zapit and you would need Zapit to read locale...

Barf addmitted that the current procedure is wrong and houdini also seemed interested but it seems to be a major change...

Who knows maybe one of them actually makes that change

fingers crossed you should get no errors.
you need to make clean flash-neutrino-jffs2-all
    hi All,
I had already replaced the sectionsd and zapit (ren mod)
in cdkflash/root-neutrino-jffs2/bin a couple of days ago.

So today i have just done the "new_diff" mod above which went fine no errors
then did a "make clean flash-neutrino-jffs2-all" again no errors.

My question is has this overwritten the sectionsd and zapit i had put in the other day
and will i have to replace the sectionsd and zapit(ren mod) again,
    before i do a "make flash-neutrino-jffs2-all"Hidden Content
    Thanks.

Yes a make clean will make it back to cvs standard except for the patched neutrino file.

You can add the files after compiling.

    Re: CVS Edits

Ok here is a couple of editd you can make before compiling

    /tuxbox-cvs/apps/tuxbox/neutrino/src/system/settings.cpp

Change the "Unknown Satellite" references to anything you like I chose "Commando"

    /tuxbox-cvs/apps/tuxbox/neutrino/src/gui/streaminfo.cpp

    and

    /tuxbox-cvs/apps/tuxbox/neutrino/gui/streaminfo2.cpp

Change "provider/sat" to "provider / cable"

My first proper edits, small steps at first Hidden Content

    Re: CVS Edits

right heres the process I ran to produce the diffs

Downloaded a new cvs into tuxbox-cvs

copied it into a new dir called tuxbox-cvs.orig

    modified the files in tuxbox-cvs

    then ran

    diff -ur tuxbox-cvs.orig tuxbox-cvs > new.diff

    opened new.diff with kwrite

ran a find and replace on /home/commando/tuxbox-cvs to tuxbox-cvs

    and saved it

    heres the results

    Hidden Content

seemed to patch ok running a compile now I'll let you know the results

this patch is applied in the usual way

    patch -p1 > new.diff

It would work m8, but I think its better to keep as a plugin, as its easier to keep updated, plus there are diffs to add the option to manually input the net-id info

    Re: CVS Edits

A guy on the Tuxboard Forum is going to release a Diff for Neutrino to be split up in different Leves.

A bit like the hide menu you guys did a while ago but you can change it on the fly ...

So Hardly any menus just watching tv and so on ;-)

You can PIN lock items by referencing CLockedMenuForwarder in place of CMenuForwarder Hidden Content If you need an example of the syntax to use then look in neutrino.cpp for the main menu and locate the option for the 'Settings' menu which is PIN locked. I would do an example on here but Im on MSWindows at the moment.

    Edit, here's two examples:

    Code:
    mainMenu.addItem(new CLockedMenuForwarder(LOCALE_MAINMENU_SERVICE, g_settings.parentallock_pincode, false, true, NULL, &service, NULL, CRCInput::convertDigitToKey(shortcut++)));
    Code:
    mainSettings.addItem(new CLockedMenuForwarder(LOCALE_PARENTALLOCK_PARENTALLOCK, g_settings.parentallock_pincode, true, true, NULL, &parentallockSettings, NULL, CRCInput::RC_3));

    whats the point ?

    blue
    tuxbox commander
scroll down to var hit ok
scroll down to tuxbox hit ok
scroll down to config hit ok
scroll down to neutrino.conf hit ok
    scroll down to parentallock_pincode=####
    #### is the code
    home
    home
    yellow

Unless your going to take tuxbox commander out ?.

A 4 digit numerical code won't keep the kids out for long so the only other user for a pincode is so a dealer can lock out the service menu and charge for channel scans from people without a clue.

Hidden Content the 4th message from the end by mb405 tells you how to do it, though I don't understand why you would want to.

is the post Scruff is talking about

The Reason with the Pincode is that the tuxbox board developes neutrino not with the hindsight that some tosser comes around and starts charging people for something free ..
