All depends on whether new software is in the stream. you can force an update on your box.
If its a pace 1000 or 2000 hold the standby button in then plug the lead in. when the display reads OK, release standby and press the favourite, interactive, tv guide and tv buttons so the display reads "4321" then press OK.
If its a pace 4000 series hold the standby button in then plug the lead in. when the display reads 0000 release standby and press left down right up buttons then press select.
On sammys hold the left right and up buttons when you plug the box in.
Is all of this with or without the TB reconnected ?
I've just attached a couple of tuts for sticky fingers on Orginal Tuner post - might be of some help also.
Hmmmmmmm, found someone you have !
Hi, have youcome across this? I got 2 4001N's one i could force update by holding down standby when plugging cable in, then keying L R D U then select. The other 4001N box i tried holding down standy just says boot pace NIL then starts up, tried to get into eng menu holding Up & Down whilst plugging cable in, or even just holding Down to reboot but cant get in there either... is it just a case of having to redo Talkback take jumper out etc?
thanks
Its not stuck in tune is it? Can u not get into eng menu? Try getting into the engineers menu by holding standby, then pressing right down right up (2321) on display. If its a 4000N box then it wont update in NTL area as its a exCW box. Try pulling red jumper and setting net id and frequency again by funcard.
