Sounds like the S11 has had it. We wont stock them due to so many clones and lack of warranty support.
I'd advise replacing with something of better quality from the Ferguson range that we sell...

Just to add to the above. Zapping is super fast and uses standard Enigma 2 settings/bouquets. The GiGaBlue HD 800 SE runs just like a Dreambox ;)
Run superbly. Images at the moment are from Team Red (similar to Blackhole/Dream Elite) and OpenAAF. More support from another well known team soon ;) Comes pre-flashed with Team Red image. Runs all...
Menu just like anyother E2 based receiver. Will post some later. For EPG it has Crossepg plug in the Team Red image.
Zapping is super fast, no internal HDD, only USB HDD. Timeshift is possible to USB HDD.

Whereabouts in the UK are you? You wont need a 97cm dish just for Hotbird. Our 80cm Technomate solid Click System dish is more than sufficient for use with Hotbird in the UK, comes with Technomate...
Ok, understand now, you could maybe put a feature request into the ViX Team ;) You never know, it might get listened too.
The multi-function remote is not guaranteed to work with all TV's, maybe try the auto scan method in the manual.
Regards HDD, best to use a powered HDD, connect and initialize on the receiver so...
If using ViX doing a software update will update your drivers.
The extra cost of the Xtrend ET9200 is because of the newer CPU, more ram and F Type loop thru's. Front display is higher spec too, but you wouldn't got wrong with either the Xtrend ET9200 or VU+ Duo.
Xtrend ET9200 is another receiver higher spec'd than the Duo with support catching up extremely fast ;)

If your using ViX I'd recommned converting your drive to ext4 filesystem. Menu > Setup > System > Harddisk > Convert filesystem ext3 to ext4. Better for handling large files ...
Be very careful when flashing bootloaders, always make sure you using the correct file and never remove the USB stick or power off whilst flashing.

I'd recommend the Xtrend ET6000 Hidden Content Fantastic Linux...
I doubt that you could easilly turn that off if its hard coded into their skin.
Its most likely skin dependant, are you using the default skin?

We stock only genuine VU+ and Xtrend receivers. The VU+ Solo, Xtrend ET5000 and ET6000 will allow you to watch & record channels on the same transponder...
