    Its most likely to be the battery. All the computers ihave built have used a CR2032 (i think it is the standard battery, unless it has changed recently)

    Can you get into bootloader? turn the phone on while pressing and holding volume down and power at the same time. If yes then you should be able to root/reflash the firmware

    If you havent already gotten a replacement, have you tried reflashing the firmware/OS whatever its called on a tablet.
    If something has gone weird with the OS a factory reset may not fix things...

    Make sure you enable rotation in the menu. I came across the same issue and was wondering why it was not working. It seems to be disabled by default on a new device unlike on phones.
