Fitting up Telepest with dvd recorder

Me old mother has decided to get a dvd recorder with a nice flash flatscreen tv. The problem is i can't seem to ge them all to connect.


I've tried so far:

telepest box to tv and then telepest box to dvd recorder..... No go


I've tried


Telepest box to dvd recorder and then dvd recorder to tv........no go

all connected via scart


All above work fine without the telepest box working.


I'm thinking, hopefully, that the dvd recorder has other output/input such as svhs or the likes and try that.


Anyone any thoughts on this, cos i really need to get this sorted...... doing me head in!!!
