I do not have permission

For the last few weeks i have been getting this message everytime i log in -

Kirsty, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Now it wont let me create a thread in main news.

I was just wondering if anyone else is having this problem and if there is anything i can do to fix it. i just left it like that before but i was trying to make a post in main news and it wont let me.
