Switching to linux

I've been reading up on linux the past few days and I am seriously considering switching to it.

I've chosen Fedora as the linux distro I wish to use, Fedora 64-bit to be precise.

I am curious as to other peoples thoughts on this? Is Linux the way to go?

The only problem I see is that I am a gamer, I use photoshop religiously and I use dreamweaver for web design, I know you can get things such as WINE which runs windows programs but also know that it doesn't work with all programs, especially games.

How many of you are on linux and what do people prefer? By the looks of things, the obvious choice for operating systems is Linux with less security issues etc.
