Does anyone use AOL instant messenger ??

Ive just started using it, only because a friend uses it, otherwise I wouldnt bother with it to be honest.

Anyway, thing is, I have two mic's, one thats built into my usb webcam and the other thats just a normal mic thats plugged into the motherboard mic socket.

With other messenger services like yahoo and msn for example, you have a choice of making a mic conversation and if you like a mic and a webcam conversation,BUT with this aol messenger i dont see an option to just use the webcam on its own, or to choose which mic i want to use, like either the one on the webcam or the one plugged into the motherboard ??

This is very frustrating as it means that if i want to put the webcam on so my friend can see me, he can then also hear me whether i like it or not, cause it just automatically use's the mic thats built into the webcam....Like i said before, i dont see any options in aol messenger to change these settings, is there any, does anyone know ???

If so, please tell me exactly where and how to change them as this is doing my nut in, cheers.

cheers.

p.s
telling him to use another messenger isnt an option, already tried that, he wont take the bait, hes not into computers very much shall we say.lol.
