simple way to make a list

i borrowed this from somewhere but dont remember so cant credit the original poster, anyhow ive found it useful and use it a lot so decided to post it, please move to the right forum if its in the wrong place:

dir /o:n /b > list.txt

Copy & paste this into notepad, saving it with the file extension .bat to make an MS-DOS Batch file. Put it into the folder you want to make a list of and double-click it.
Handy for listing loads of mp3 folders. yahoo.gif

If you're trying to make a list of something on a disk then unfortunately this won't work o_o.gif .
But if you have FlashFXP, browse the disk, then goto Directory>Copy Directory To Clipboard. Open notepad and then paste the list. This way works just as well
