| Has this happened to anyone? A couple of weeks ago. I received a text message offering me wallpapers and ringtones and then said. "to stop these messages text STOP to this number. Obviously I ignored the message but then when my mobile phone bill came in I was charged 75p + vat for recieving this message. I called my mobile operator up to complain about this and ask how to stop it. He informed me that the only way to stop it was to send STOP back to them, So I asked him what was to stop them giving this number to someone else to do the same? or even for them to send me more messages from other numbers and he could not give me any assurances that I am able to stop this happening. Does anyone know of a way to prevent this happening? |
