This member is the original thread starter. C difficle spreading in our hospitals

My dad who is 83 went into hopital to have a knee op done.
While he was in there he caught this c difficle infection.

The main cause of this is due to poor hygine in toilets.
While he was on the ward where he caught the disease he never saw them clean the toilets once in 2 weeks and his bed was right next to the toilet entrance.

Reading yesterdays mail i discovered that this is a massive problem throughout the nhs....not to mention the dreaded mrsa.

Lots of people die from this each year and is all because they keep employing idiots who clearly do not do their job.

My dad lost 4 stone and was on the brink of death....luckily for him he was strong enought to pull through.

The doctors knew what it was before they even diagnosed him.

He was in hospital for 4 months.....the care was disgusting...most of the nurses couldn't even speek english....the poor guy in the next bed wanted a bed pan to go to the toilet and the bastards kept him waiting for over an hour till he s_it himself.

Most of the staff there were very lazy uncaring people who seem to enjoy watching people loose their dignity.

How the f_ck can this be allowed to continue???

The hospital in question was Whipps Cross

Any one else had an experience like this???
