moved to correct section

hello all i have just brought a s reg rover 200 tdi. but i have just noticed the central locking is not working. the alarm system is and i can here this faint noise on the central locking. do i need to replace the batt in the fob key or has it had it and how much will i be loking at. great car it has a full history 71000 on the clock disel. sound a bit nosiey when starting up. but when driven sound sweet. if you can help thank you very much. youngie
