I use a philips pronto, which can be programmed with 255 macros with 255 steps. you can design / use a graphic for the button. eg. a channel logo. one of my macros is power on the projector, amp, dvd, screen, and off the lights on one button press.. impresses the guests anyway.:)

Hi,

I also use the Pronto & they are top notch, being able to edit via the PC makes everything much easier too.

just upgraded to a 950, so my 890 is going on fleebay shortly.

Philips pronto have good recommendations, however if you want something ultra cool, try a pocket pc that has infra red on the top, paired with remote control software. Same concept as a pronto but has jawbreaker and solitaire for those moments when you're bored! can be updated in seconds also, and you can skin it to look however you want it to.

Hi,

I'm also looking for an all in one remote but I don't know much about them. How do you program these to do what another remote can?

Do you point the original remote at the all the one remote for programming so that it can copy what the original remote is sending?

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,

Hotbaws.

Ive got an all in one remote which came with a book that allows you to scan barcode in order to use with certain tv's its either your one is similar to that or you may have to check instructions on how change to use on a certain tv. If you are still stuck tell me name of the remote make and company ill find out for you.

I have a Pioneer DVR 530 & the universal remote I use struggles to control it.
It is a One for All 6 in 1. Possibly the ones with aprogrammable touch screen may work better - any thoughts??

Got the 895 and if you are going to do lots of custom activities its amazing. In addition it has the best helpdesk i've ever seen - the guy i called last time even made a custom script for my tv while i waited!
