Dont waste your money if you think XBMC will show you any sky channels worth watching, No sky movies or sports, the channels that is there are pile of keek, the only good repositorie is navi-x for movies

I have one in the kitchen, and we all use it, probably on more than the normal tv. Navi x is all you need to put on it, yes you can get the sky sports and movies, but for us it is mainly used for the following

Radio
Streaming already downloaded movies
other movie channels showing releases in the cinema - yes quality ranges from bloody awful to very good cams - hit and miss you could say but saves a 30 pound trip to the cinema for the family and if it is awful - find another release.

If you have never used xbmc before I would suggest just downloading it and testing it on your computer - a cheaper alternative to the apple tv is the raspberry pi which I am thinking of getting to put on another telly.

Hope you find useful

Does XBMC work on the raspberry pi then? I've seen that its available and I've asked around but I don't actually know anyone who's used it on the r-pi yet.
